This is not a game, its pure art!
I loved, I mean it LOVED, every character in this "game". I loved every dialoge, I loved every detail. The graphics are amazing, the artstyle is amazing, the voice acting is amazing. The gameplay is far better then you would expect and not grindy at all, to be honest it was quite easy for the most part.
Its incredible how talanted every person making this game is. I am so happy that I was completly unspoiled for the whole journey!
This game is the real reason we get GTA 6 next year, Rockstar feared not getting GOTY this year.

Amazing game! Loved it all, maybe a few bosses like the shield woman and the dragon where way too passive but everything else was amazing even when a little on the more easy side.
One complain though, bosses have WAYYYY to much health!!! I wish they would hit harder but take triple or four times more damage

What I like is:
- combat
- souls-like gameplay
- story
- characters

What I dislike - and what at the end makes the game unenjoible for me
- strange level design, I usualy dont have much time to play (1-2 h a day when not on hollydays, so I forget most of the time the spots I have been to)
- bad ingame map - lack of leaving some notes for my future self
- backtracking !!!
- bashing my head against puzzles that are not puzzles but me laking the right upgrades (not always obivous)
- a lot of walking with bad placed checkpoints

Its difficult for me to give it a negative score would rather give mixed but this game is not for me but maybe you will like it if the points above are not bad for you. I dont think I will finish it.

The striker charm gives you a movement speed boost, because in the original game you could use a bug with the striker to run a little faster! Its amazing the the developers are aware of all the beloved traits and flaws of the original game and that they pay respect to them!

Bethesda forces you to create and link a Bethesda Account to your Steam account to play the game, even only the campaign! For that alone its a HUGE dislike!
If you also dont want to give Greedthesda anything then block the game in the firewall or restart steam in offline mode, this way it will not try to create an account. I played trough whole campaign in offline mode because of this!
I liked the campaign and the very fast and fluent gameplay. IMO its better then Doom 2016 but on the other hand Doom 2016 does not force Stupidthesda on you.

I started the Resident Evil franchise with Resident Evil 4 and played every game since, so I was very pleased to see a back to the roots (atleast MY roots) Resident Evil game!

I liked the story very much. Without spoiling anything major I loved that at the end the game combines trough journal entries of the main villian every other big entry in the series. I loved how the new Vampire enemies has been explained the plot twists around them, I enjoined the Werewolf enemies too but less then the vampires because those have been more "impactful" and the zombie/ghul enemies were nice and atmospheric too! For me the strongest part of the story was the castle part and the ending of the game, the by far weakest part was the domain of the 4th boss because it was much like the Military guys from Resident Evil 4. I dont like the majority of act 5 in RE4 so I also disliked the 4th boss area and it was also not very logical because there was way to many "specimens" for the population of the village.

Most of the time the Gameplay revolves around fast passed combat/action and only then around horror. Then gunplay feels very good but the balance between the weapons is more bad then good. In RE4 nearly each weapon had the opportunity to get a special upgrade if upgrading everything that would give the weapon sometimes a unique property e.g. the weakest pistol would have a 50%crit chance even though it is 3,5 weaker then the strongest pistol it could potentialy kill enemies faster or the "Punisher" pistol that would shot trough 5 enemies eventough its the weakest pistol it could CC a group of enemies. In RE8 every new weapon is just better then the old one and weapon upgrades besides damage are pointless and you dont have enough money to do it anyway. Unfortunatly the knife in RE8 is very bad compared to RE2Remake or RE4 (Best Weapon in RE4!) and the ability to CC enemies in RE8 compared to RE4 is also lackluster. There is enough ammo and healing in this game on Standard difficulty but I would not recomend to play on any harder difficulty because that is not a game that is so well balanced as RE4, the enemies are just bulletsponges and your health is low there is now fun CC aspect or knife play as in RE4.

Many people criticize that the game is not scary at all atleast compared to RE7. I dont understand that argument at all. I think the only Scary part of RE7 was when Mia would jumpscare you from around the corner and thats it! Besides that RE7 was not more or less scary then RE8 is! If you are concerned if RE8 has any Jumpscares then the answer is: NO. There are no jumpscares at all! But jump scares is not the aspect of horror anyway! The best kind of horror is the one that happenes inside your head when you doubt things and are waiting for something that might not happen. I think the Horror part is not and never was the strongest part of any RE game ever.

This game is gorgeous! The visuals are incredible. Everything is handplaced and looks very nice.

I got 90 fps with 2070Super on highest settings for my 1080p monitor the only fps-lag spikes I got was around the Dimitrerscu daughters and their insect swarms which would break it down to 30fps but everyone has this problem right now even people on 3090. Other then that not a single Bug in a AAA game! This is very special in our time, I dont remeber when was the last time a new game was not a complete failure the last time.

I loved the story, gunplay and atmosphere! I think that Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters have been the strongest part of the game and I wish for more content around them! The other boses have been less impactfull and the 4th boss I disliked! I wish they would have done more vampire stuff and I hope that in future games or DLC we can somehow return to Dimitrescu castle. With that I am looking forward to RE4Remake very much!

If you make one more I would be willing to pay for it as much as for any Portal game before!

Bought the game recently. Played 4 hours in a premade 5 people team and it was much fun.
Played the next day alone and this are my first 4 matches:

1) Hacker in my team who teleported outside as defender in the first second and killed everyone before their could even spawn. After the match he made adverts to his hacking device and called his youtube channel so we could see that he is not banned in 3 months even with his videos as proof that he is cheating (he called it "social experiment").
2) I took "twitch" because I needed a french operator, a guy in my team wanted twitch too so he and his 2 premades (all similar name) teamkilled me every round in this game. I reported them (and the cheater in the previous game) but I dont think it has an impact
3) Next game with new people I tried to hit a drone but a teammate walked in front and I hit him in the leg (for about 20-30hp) he truned around and instantly killed me...
4) I am lvl 12 and now playing with 3 friends (also all about lvl 12) against 5man premade with lvl over 150 each and platinum rank, they check our level and start insulting us that we are noobs before the match beginns. Kill cam they t-bag us...

I have seen toxic communites before, but this... This is next level.
I dont say "dont buy this game" but be ready for this if you are playing alone or do have toxic or cheating enemies.

I tried to refund this game but I CANT! Because I played the free weekends and the timelimit is more than 2 hours for me from the beginning! STEAM I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

You know a game has a great story and big impact on you when you feel like you broke up with your GF after finishing it.

Its a masterpiece, not flawless but still a masterpiece.
At the beginning I was a little overhyped but the longer I played it the more I loved it.

Big respect to Yoko Taro for such intense story telling.

Review and HELP for people who do have freezes!

Go into to the folder of the game (Steam\steamapps\common\Might and Magic Clash of Heroes) and do locate the ClashOfHeroes.exe. Right-click ClashOfHeroes.exe, select Properties and then select the Compatibility tab. Check the box for Compatibility mode and set the Compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and press Apply then OK.


Its really a great game, its totaly worth 10€/$ but you can also wait for a sale. The story is ok-good, the gamedesign is really much fun and you can also play the game with a friend local on the same PC or online (yes it is still working).
I needed 18h for 100% playtrough without Multiplayer.
If you like those mobile games like candy crush you will love this game.
