Hits the old school vibes, tickles the nostalgia, but has a long way to go before it is feature complete. I've still gotten my money's worth ($30) for what's there and wouldn't mind paying a subscription fee if added after 1.0 release in roughly 2+ years.

Didn't get too deep into POE 1 and haven't liked a Diablo game much since the 2nd one. This game is a good time so far. It's rough starting out and sometimes loot can seem a bit stingy, but once you get your build rolling and start figuring things out it's nice.

The boss fights in particular will kick your ass the first few attempts. Stick with it and use your dodge's Iframes.

It's a good time, especially in multiplayer. Hard not to compare with Project Zomboid but it does have a totally different feel. I haven't felt frustrated or confused in 30 hours as to why I died unlike Zomboid. Also it's a good idea to actually use guns here.

I've been playing this on the Blacksmith launcher for a long time. Good game, still in development, with no other real competition in the genre at the moment. Read the negative reviews and more importantly look at their playtime. This game is not easy, does not hold your hand, and you can die in dumb ways... BUT when you learn to get through PvE without taking damage it becomes so much easier.

Game could benefit from a tutorial, but watch a few videos and you'll be good.

I regret buying this game. It looks cool, the mechanics are great, and the single player is pretty sweet, but it is also only a few hours long at most and not worth playing through more than once. Development stopped, dedicated servers were taken down, no mod support (to keep it alive), and I feel a bit ripped off. If you can get it for $1-3 on sale, then it's worth a run through the singleplayer. If you convince a buddy or two to buy it to enjoy some jolly co-op (you can still host private servers) it may be fun to a point but I wouldn't want to give this dev any more money honestly.

Another case of a small game having plenty of potential, but going nowhere after getting it's feet off the ground. If it had at least a map maker or better yet workshop support with the toolkit, I could see if coming back for some people. That has been stated as not going to happen though.

It has been a long time since I've played a game that is just flat out fun with minimal user friction during the action and team killing makes me laugh more often than not.

Highly recommend with or without friends to play with.

Fun game in it's current state and has chewed up 40 hours of my time before I realized it. I've mostly played on a dedicated server with my buddy's and my main complaints (which I hope get attention before release) are as follows:

-Group content is unnecessary or non-existent at least before lvl 40 unless the host changes each boss fight to x2 or x3 spawn rate. Makes them HARD to solo though until you get gud.
-Needs a group feature (not guild) to do the above group content so we don't have to destroy our own bases to group up. (see below)
-Guild feature's base limit and the way it works is funky. No real point in doing it at the moment unless you're playing exclusively with 1-2 other people.
-AI and pathing for Pals working around the base is atrocious and the #1 thing they should work on quickly. I'm unsure if this is in multiplayer or single player or both, but every time I hop on the first 30 minutes is rotating pals in and out to reset their AI being stuck so they will eat/sleep, then doping them up to cure depression they suffered from being stuck, then reviving whichever ones died from being stuck, THEN I can finally play the game. Also, despite having mostly comfy beds (had to put them on my roof) most of my pals stand on top of each other but not go to sleep in the same crusty basic bed. Then complain about being tired.
-There NEEDS to be more at least basic building shapes, but as bad as the pathing for AI is at the moment, I can see why they've opted to not focus on that. My base is essentially a pyramid with a flat top full of beds. This is before I realized the most efficient bases have NO walls or rooves and are just perfectly flat with open air crafting benches. The AI still gets stuck on rocks or in trees.
-I would like to see a "task board" interface of some kind (similar to Rimworld/Dwarf Fortress would be amazing) to specify things for Pals to not pick up, work on, or focus on.

8/10 in it's current state though. I hope they maintain what they've got, refine it, and then provide plenty of post/launch support to expand it.

One of the best survival experiences, with zombies. Better with friends. 100% customization through mods (single & MP).

Once you get over the learning curve and stop trying to run & gun, this game has a lot of immersion to offer. The multiple roles are all unique to themselves and serve a purpose. Sound effects & artillery fire are very intense and get the blood pumping while holding the trenches.

Good time, but squad up and don't forget to use your microphone. Don't be shy, most players have been super helpful. Haven't noticed any hackers either.
