The thing about Arkham Origins is that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are so much better. Both predecessors have much better stories, but worse side missions and collectibles. Origins gives you a reason to do side missions, to unlock more upgrades, and the others just don't have that. For instance in AA and AC you have to collect riddler trophies, but why? AO replaces the riddler trophies with Enigma Datapacks because you're trying to stop the riddler from blackmailing the whole city. That's it, the side missions in AO are much better than the actual story and that shouldn't be. Now the bugs. AO has lots of various different bugs, some game breaking and some nothing more than an annoyance that can be dealt with easily. I had heard that AO has bugs, but I thought people were just exaggerating because I hadn't encountered many. As I progressed through the story I started to see more, So here's what I encountered:
  • The gaining xp sound lasts forever - fixed by restarting from a checkpoint - encountered 2 or 3 times
  • While gliding Batman starts flopping up and down - easily fixed by divebombing - encountered 2 or 3 times
  • Enemy can become stuck in the wall, unable to attack - easily fixed by hitting him with a batarang, but if in an encounter where the final enemy surrenders and it's the guy stuck in the wall you have to restart from a checkpoint - encountered twice
  • While leaving an area the game will crash - no idea how to fix - encountered on one occasion, but tried around 10 times to progress

All in all I would reccomend the game for the side missions and nothing else.
