This game is a hidden gem. It's one of those games that I've always wanted to see, and here it is! I usually avoid early access games, but if you were going to make an acceptation, this would be the game for sure.

It's a top down pixel art survival-craft, with in-depth city building elements to manage residents and build a community. Every resident will work for you too, either harvest crops, sell essential items, and defend your island.

If you enjoy survival-craft games, this is fits in perfectly into the genre, keeping things familiar while adding so many unique elements too. There is too much to say about this game, Just try it.

I used to play a while ago. There were some performance issues, but overall it was playable. recently tried to play it again, and it wont even launch anymore. looked up online, and this has been a known issue since 2019. So many different workarounds, and none worked. spent an entire sunday trying to fix it, nothing.

I like this game, but this port is really crappy.

Day one, the game ran really rough. As of lately, it appears the issues have been patched out for the most part. The game now runs nicely on my rig, and I'm enjoying the challenge.

I find the game quite difficult, but I have also had plenty of areas to explore as I get better at the game. Even tho my progress in the story appears to be slow, I have plenty to explore. If you aren't good at these types of games, go into it expecting to take it slow. or play with a friend! My friends helped me past a couple of bosses I was stuck on.

its a fun game, im glad they fixed the performance issues.

I don't get the hype. The way the character models animate break the immersion before you even get started.

I almost did a let's play of this game for my channel with over 200k subs. I'm glad I didn't, the developer feels it is their duty to punish you if you misbehave, even if your behavior is unrelated to your association with the game. Ignoring their own consent of playing and monetizing your game play on their website. They feel it's their right to revoke permission at anytime, and use DMCA to punish you.

The game itself was lukewarm, It's a walking simulator. The art looks great, the game feels polished. But the story is the real reason you play this game. It was nothing memerable, or all that interesting. It also seems like a pretty steep asking price for how little content is actually in the game.

Bought this game years ago, and nothing was straight forward.

Played the released version, still just as confused.

I feel like there is a game under it all, but the lack of a tutorial makes it really hard to get into this game. For me and a game isn't obvious on how to play it. It better do a good job getting me up to speed.

Considering this game is only $10 I think its a fair recommendation. It's a great entry level city builder game with little depth, but a fair amount of content.

Pros:
Everything is pretty straight forward, and easy to learn.
Clean looking art style
A decent balance, of fairness, challenge, and progression (for the most part)
It has a satisfactory amount of depth (Though it could use more)

Cons:
Not a lot of depth, and lacks a lot of content outside the basics
Advisors advice, and happiness levels are not always clear on what the game wants.
Lacks some basic mechanics, like click and drag functions.
The UI is a bit clustered, and notifications are generally not displayed in a helpful way. They show one at a time and scroll very fast.
Enemies feel like it's a survival game, with an inevitable end. (It's optional though)

Overall for the price, it's not bad. It's not the greatest game in this genre, but it 'swell put together. It certainly has room for improvement, and I look forward to see this game grow. It does seem to have a dedicated development team that is eager to update it regularly.

There is a lot of content being presented here. Let me start by saying the single player alone is worth it! It's an extremely long and rich story, with funny and relatable characters. When your bored of the main game, it's an excellent physics simulator.

If you're interested in the multiplayer, I would bet that is what is responsible for the mixed reviews. To be totally honest, I'm not surprised. Multiplayer in this game is one of those things that starts off great, but slowly and steadily gets worse and worse. From the game encouraging greifing, to game breaking bugs, to absolute toxic sociopaths that will dog fight you with absolutely no gain. The game puts no effort to combat it's horrid community, but instead encourages it. Unless you want to be in passive mode (at that point, why are you even playing). It's only really fun when everyone in a session agrees to be friendly. Which is like winning the lottery, because one bad apple ruins an entire session. Plus hackers are still a HUGE issue, I'm kinda shocked that years later, and I still run into at least one hacker almost every time I play.

Some of the design choices for online, are half thought out and horribly implemented into the game.It feels like it purposely weights on you so you are impulsed to buy shark cards, and the phone is basically used for pop-up ads when your not in a job. The online has certainly been created by their B or C team.

Overall, i encourage you to get this for the single player for sure! If you're mostly looking to get it for multiplayer, maybe wait for a sale. It's still a fun game to play with friends, but it's basically useless for solo players unless your a sociopath that loves to dogfight.

This is a great game, but why do I not recommend this?
Actually I do reccomend this game
to any avid hardcore platform gamer. Its a great challenge and has some very unique mechanics I've never seen used in a game before. It does bring a lot of new things to the table, and I think it does it fairly well. If you are an experienced platformer, this is a very good title to try out!

Why do I choose to overall not reccomend you might ask? I find this game to have some balance issues, and overall challenge of the game is something that the everyday gamer might find impossible to get through.

Pros:
-Visually beautiful game. The artist did a great job on everything, and the animation is very satisfying.
-Character customization. Usually games like this have little to no customization, and it gives it a bit of a personal feel to the game when you can spruce up a character.
-Very challenging. The game keeps you at a constant challenge, giving the player much satisfaction when you complete a level. (At the same time, this is also the game's greatest weakness)
-The game mechanics. They are extremely unique, there so many creative combinations of movesets for you to use to progress. It really makes you think at times, and its not always obvious how to overcome an obstacle.

Cons:
-No pause button. I have no idea if this was a bug or not. But when I pressed start, the pause menu popped up but the game kept going in the background. This may or may not have been just me or been patched. So take it with a grain of salt.
-Occasional camera issues. The game sometimes had poor placement of camera, where you couldn't see what you were about to jump into. Even times where there was no implied direction, so you had to jump off a platform in a leap of faith and hope its the right direction.
-Learning the game. This game brings a lot of unique mechanics to a platformer game, that really challenges everything you know about platformers, and I like that. However I didn't really see much of an opportunity to learn the mechanics very much. Its good that the game has challenge, but I think that challenge comes too quickly. I would have liked to see dumbed down levels in the beginning to help me better understand the game's use of it's mechanics.
-The difficulty. Now this is like I said the greatest part, and the worst part of the game. The game has difficulty settings that are for the most part pointless. I feel that easy mode is still far too challenging for being easy. It feels like medium and hard, with more checkpoints, and maybe health. I feel the game doesn't do enough to make an entry level platformer feel welcomed into this title. I think thats what sets this game apart from a "recommended" to "not recommended" simply because I think this game caters to a very specific gamer.
-Sometimes its punishing for no reason. If there is one thing I don't like about some games, is that they are punishing, for the sake of being punishing. There are times in this game where the game will just throw you off with no warning. I like to at least have a chance to correct any mistakes I make. Even if I die in a game, I would only want to blame my lack of competence. Not the game itself

==Summery==
Overall this is a solid title, but it caters to a specific audience with little to no appeal to the average or beginner platform gamers. If you are experienced this is a great title to pick up and have at it. It has a lot of repetition, very unique mechanics, and requires creative thinking.

If you are the developer reading this, I hope you found something useful in my feedback! I wish you luck on future projects, I look forward to what else you have to offer :)

P.S. I did have a issues syncing my logitech controller. It was not being read by the game, and I had to setup xpadder to use my controller. Model # f310. This controller works with all other games. Not sure if this was just me or not, but if you're the developer, this could be useful information to know <:

People wonder why this game was being pirated. It might be the fact that the pirated version must have gutted the DRM. If you don't what what DRM is, its basiclly punishing people for buying a game. Me and 3 other friends purched this with the intent to play online. Social club is down the day of the sale. I don't know if its today, or an ongoing problem. But you'd think the day it goes on sale Rockstar would have their servers ready for new players. Even if they discountiued the online features, its being advertised as part of the game on steam.

Not only is the online mode down, you can not even play single player. Why? You need connection to your Social Club to save any progress. But thats not the worst of it. My game crashes every time I startup single player mode, I've tried all the methods I could and not a single method resolved my problem. I have a brand new rig, and it exicutes my games flawlessly. This is the only title that has ever not worked on my rig.

BUYER BEWARE, You personally might have 0 issues, and the game would be fantastic. But know that known issues are being ignrored, and don't count on any offical support or patches due to the fact that its a dated game. This is a prime example of a game that was so worried about dicsouraging piracty, that its in fact encouraging it by offering a broken nazi-style drm system to those they pay money for it.
