Very good game. I wasn't sure about it at first but, after becoming more familiar with the systems and getting a few good weapons I like, it’s shaping up to be something very special. Typically, indie soulslike games that aren't made by FromSoftware tend to be lackluster, unpolished, and just generally janky or otherwise "mid" experiences (such as Mortal Shell, Thymesia, etc.). However, Lies of P sets itself apart from the rest of the indie soulslike crowd by actually feeling good to play. I care a lot about things like consistent parrying and "fair" combat and this game hits all the right spots with that. I will say that the parry windows are much smaller than souls games but it’s not too bad and actually reminds me more of Sekiro's parrying style but with Bloodborne's ability to regain recently-lost health. I've only killed a 3-4 of the major bosses so far but the fights have been fun, and each new area is very well designed. The story, art, music, and voice acting are all really well done too. This game is like a weird blend of bloodborne and Sekiro and the prosthetics and detachable weapon blades + handles offer lots of opportunities to customize your build. The leveling process isn't too grindy either.

I think I can confidently recommend this to FromSoft fans and anyone who is still waiting for bloodborne to come to PC, also to hard-core Pinocchio fans (I guess…)
