had not finished yet as im writing this, but just had a jawdropping moment in the game and wanted to share. This game already brought me to tears and made me get up from my chair in a single chapter. You know the game is a 10/10 ATLEAST when you have to put down your controller, connect the dots and get splashed by multiple emotions at once, after a single line of dialog. Hekki Grace. Have not played a game this good in a long time.

Update! I feel hollow.

I am not sure whether i recommend this game or not.
I was amazed by it and quickly drawn in the story at the beginning, but the last third of the game dissapointed me greatly.

One thing I wanna compliment that im still very satisfied with even now is the gameplay – I expected a usual visual novel, point and click type of game, but this game takes you into your role as a hacker with a creative twist on puzzles. I especially loved hacking and controlling drones and bugbots that required you to think strategically and plan your path with stealth. Also some locations required you to crack a 4-digit code that you would solve by encrypting notes and images scattered around, which is a strategy i used to see a lot in old flash games and i really miss in modern puzzle games. Sometimes these puzzles were too straightforward, sometimes annoyingly complicated, but most of the time they were my favourite part of the game.

However, I just cannot overlook the story that saddened me as it got progressively worse. All the characters had interesting designs, they even had a basis that you could build a complex lore upon, but it was never really used. Stories of separate gigs were fine, but the major events in the game felt soulless. Especially the character and the whole story arc of Jessica. Oh wow. this girl from this one gig you finished looks pretty. And guess what? she wants to date you. Heres a scene where you two are on a date but we're not gonna let you see how you speak, just trust it, youre getting along!... she wants to break up with you because your job is dangerous... Oh no! shes in danger!! please save her and act like you care! <--a recap how the story goes, pretty heavy spoilers. And the actual ending plot twist is even more out of place. I just couldn't symphatize with any of it and I couldn't place myself into the role of the main character, and since the story is very linear I couldn't affect her approach, so she became very unlikeable to me.

Despite all this, from the very beginning and even now I believe this game had so much potentional. I just feel like the few devs, that I can tell poured their heart into this, let it go to waste. Hopefully they learned from this game because it really had a spark that I dont see very often in smaller games like this one.

Wonderful. Stunning. Thought-provoking. Life changing. Brought me and my partner a waterfall of tears to our eyes. I'll think about the plot before falling asleep and I want the lyrical soundtrack to be played at my funeral.

11/10 please buy this please please buy it to your friends and family also

As one of the playtesters of this game before its release, I went into it knowing well it would be great. But they managed to exceed my expectations in every possible aspect they could! I enjoyed every minute!!

Most of the gameplay consists of visual novel-like passages and missions with a rogue-like feel, except its linear and contains cleverly placed quicksaves throughout the level. There you also have scattered parts with deckbuilder based fights and a unique hacking minigame which was I was really quick to understand and was having most of my fun with. It had a similar feel to the Cyberpunk 2077 breaching minigame.
In short, the game combines many niche or even unheard of mechanics that switch between themselves and keep the 20 hours really entertaining.
Similar with the other genres, deckbuilder was the only one I dipped in for the first time with this game, and this was also the part that I throroughly playtested. It does an awesome job as an introducer to the genre and has piqued my interest at getting myself familiar with it more. As you progress you unlock new cards, so if you want to make the fights more fun for yourself, you're free to experiment as you like. Although the base deck is very optimised and really easy to use, so the game doesnt force you to. I can't speak for enthusiasts of this genre where the game might be too easy for them, but I found it really fun and also sort of relaxing.

The whole game focuses on story throughout all of the segments mentioned above. It also has wonderful voice acting! The characters are fun and relatable, and the whole plot is easy to follow through while keeping itself intriguing with epic twists and spicing up the dialogue with refferences to slavic culture and classic cyberpunk tropes. Not to spoil anything but Karel is literally the most based guy ever depicted in media
Also you can pet the dog!

My only suggestion for further developement would be to implement manual saving, the game already has save slots but only works on quicksaves, so if I wanted to play through specific parts towards the end of the game, like for achievements in the fights that I missed, I'd have to start over.

TLDR; I loved the entirety of the game and would recommend it to anyone, mostly to story enjoyers or people looking to dip their feet in deckbuilders, or anyone who loves the cyberpunk setting, because these are the segments this game does exceptionally well. 10/10

One of the best storytelling I've ever seen in a game. I'm really glad I gave this gem a shot, and despite its short playtime, I'll never forget about my first experience. It's also got lots of replaying potentional and it's fun discovering other paths and exploring secrets.

I went into this game completely blind and I encourage you to do so aswell, so what are you doing here reading other reviews and spoiling the game for yourself? Well, if you expected to find review-like numbers and graphs, I'll share my in-deph rating below:

Heart: 10/10
Lungs: 10/10
Liver: 10/10
Nerves: 10/10

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undeniably a great open world, non-linear RPG excelling mainly in its wonderfully crafted worldbuilding and storytelling.
This game is one of the classics in its genre nowadays and I could ramble about the beauty of it all for hours, but instead, I took notes on some of the goofy encounters that make the game stand out for me. Gonna spoiler this part in case you wanna go in blind, but theyre so out of context it wont actually spoil the game for you.

- threw a baby in a furnace as a prank
- explored the stinky cheese dungeon
- kept waking up a vampire from hibernation by opening up his coffin repeatedly
- let a little squatting girl keep the house to herself because she caused nightmares to the residents
- fed a werewolf pierogi and he evaporated into thin air
- exploded rats with my ex (shes an arsonist btw)
- fought a big orb to keep my sigma status infront of my wife
- bit an apple (to keep the doctor away) while doing an autopsy
- saved a couple of dwarfs and they gave me a huge painting of some ugly guy as a reward

throughout the 60 hours of my first playthrough there were some negatives as well, like the combat was either too hard or boring, and geralt is pretty clumsy in his steps,so i played on easiest difficulty to just get through it, but the positives outweight the negatives majorly, and ill definitely play this game again someday

Its been a week and i still cant stop thinking about this game.

As someone who greatly enjoyed the prequel, ROM 2064, sometime around 2020, I had my hopes up for this game, and boy oh boy, did they surpass my expectations!!

I got the game one afternoon and it literally sucked me in, i ended up finishing it in the same day! Yes, the previous game was longer, but here the pacing was so great that the shorter playtime benefited it really well.

The visuals got me gasping in awe since the first scene: such a pretty color scheme, wonderfully styled characters, the UI looked so fun and the composition was very intriguing, allowing the writing to shine and your brain to fill in the blank.

The story was awesome as well, had a really interesting plot and the ending was very impactful, gotta be one of my favorite ones in games ever

The characters played a huge part for me, the protagonist was very relatable, everyone had a personality and, as a bonus to the fans of the prequel like me, our favorite characters from 2064 are back and their stories evolve!

Soundtrack was nice aswell and very fitting, slightly below the first game, but i dont think that one can be topped

To be a bit objective on my review and not simp about the game *too much*, I'll be a bit nitpicky about a single negative point i noticed through playing: It is mostly just a clicker game, so you always have to have your hand on the mouse, even to just continue with the text. It would be nice if you could atleast move forward with space, or add an option to bind keys manually. But as I said, thats just me being nitpicky.

Overall, I would rate this game 10/10, maybe even an 11. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing visual novel with a strong story. Looking forward to what these devs come up with next!
Also nominated this game for the best art style, as i looved looking at every pixel this game has to offer.

This game has helped me tremendously with my self control issues. Instead of pissing people off, I piss on them :)
