The game is fun, but very short and severely lacking. I beat it in less than a day.
The game is basically like one of those old DOS command lines, but with a GUI. Instead of typing, for example
/attack
you would click a dialog on screen that reads
"Attack!"
The story is mildly interesting, and mildly emotional. The dialogue gives you a good idea of what is going on. You can train Elodie in different skills. In one part of the game (minor spoilers, doesn't affect story) somebody sends you a box of chocolates that is poisoned. If Elodie is proficient in divination she will notice a bad omen and you will have the option of not eating the chocolates. If she has proficient knowledge in poison, medicine, or herbs she will be able to heal after ingesting the poison. If Elodie hasn't been trained in any of these things she will eat the chocolates and die.
I really wish the game would continue past coronation. It is very fun and entertaining, some of the battles and dialogue is really intense and gets you going. It stops short, however. It would also be cool if there was more visual feedback. Instead of:
"A fierce battle rages on. elodie makes lots of explosions with her magic and bodies fly everywhere" it would be cool if there were animations that showed these things happening. Sometimes the battles can be difficult to visualize and it takes you out of the moment.
That being said the game is very fun to play and I definitely recommend it for those who like command line or RPG games. It is very fun and I enjoyed it very much.
