Get it on sale. For anyone wanting basically "More Mirror's Edge" than you won't be disappointed.

From a purely gameplay perspective Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a fine game. It's fun and offers a very similar experience to the original Mirror's Edge. The movement feels great, the game looks phenomenal, and Solar Fields continues to rise through the ranks as my favorite musician to date. Though this game constantly left me feeling like something was missing.

The story was trash, though though Mirrors Edge isn't known for its thrilling writing, the first game's story at-least got the job done. The skill tree where certain moves need to be purchased absolutely ruined some parts of the experience for me. For a game that came out in 2016 it's pretty demanding graphically too, my computer was well within the specs and I needed to do some heavy modifications to get it running smooth. And though most of the level design was fine, the open world aspect of the game was incredibly poorly done. (In a game that's about it's motion it really tells me something when you have the ability to fast travel and avoid the main purpose of the game itself.)

In spite of this, I did still have fun. I did a playthrough alongside a good friend of mine and we were having a good time. I wouldn't recommend it at it's base price tag, but definitely get it while it's on sale. It's a fun experience, though unlike the original Mirror's edge, I don't think i'll be replaying it any time soon.

Buyer Beware.

A pretty solid game with a ton of replayability. The combat and the story leaves a lot to be desired, however that's not the main focus of the game. The movement mechanics feel great to use and keeping an uninterupted flow during levels is one of the best feelings I've had in gaming. Not to mention this game might have my favorite soundtrack out of anything i've ever listened to ever, it's just simply amazing. Pick it up if you can.

Never been much of an RTS guy myself but this game is pretty fun, though in no way is new user friendly, and will take some time to get used to.

That being said it's not without it's flaws, and it can struggle to find motivation to re-play it when you've done a few playthroughs and explored most of the modding scene. Not to mention paradox's unjustifyably high price tag on all the DLCs and the base game.

Get it on sale if it's your sort of thing.

I Really, Really enjoyed this mod.

Its not your standard run of the mill 'Rebel VS Combine game', and im glad its not. Its a mod that places you in the shoes of the bad guys, and my god do they do an amazing job at making the Resistance seem evil. The level design was phenominal, and the sound work was amazing,

My fault with this mod comes with one of the levels, To evade spoilers; Its the one where you escort a Stalker in the Dark. I was frustrated while playing this part and it took away some of my motivation to progress.

However, I wont let that single moment of the game cloud my vision on this mod It's challenging in a way that's fresh to someone who basically lives for source mods and it's well worth your time.

I really was not happy with this mod

Firstly, im not saying its all bad so hear me out untill the end. Im just saying how I thought this was in my opinion, a waste of money for me.

This game has some good aspects, infact im impressed on some visuals and level design from a mod. I would even go as far to say the level design and visuals are almost valve like, if not improved.

My problem with Prospekt is the gameplay in general. Its non-stop shooting, fighting, and annoyingly long flashback sequences. Never will you encounter a friendly NPC, or even any new NPCs or weapons. I dont even own opposing force, but I would atleast of appriceated A new weapon from the origonal opposing force, or atleast be able to use all of the half life 2 weapons, alongside the 5 you are presented with, or at least reskin the crowbar to shepards pipe wrench.

The part where you return to Xen was a nice touch, but the sequence was only for one level, and that level was extremely short, not even any Xen native creatures to fight, like bullsquid or even headcrabs. Just normal human combine soldiers. In short, its nothing like the origonal half life Xen, just a five minute filler part.

There were multiple times where the levels would change and I would spawn in stuck in a floor, or in a wall, to wich I would need to use console to noclip out. Or the fact that ammo is sparsley given out, and health kits are given out almost every corner.

I briefly mentioned this earlier, but theres also the annoying and repetative flashback scenes that happen. To sum it up quickly, The screens colors get nausiatingly inverted, and some diolauge between two, or three unnamed soldiers will play. Its mainly the same cliche stuff you would expect: "I hear of some aliens in black mesa!" "I dont believe theres aliens hah!" "Oh no the aliens killed all of us and were going to all die!" "Thats it drop the nuke! but leave three people behind for the sad moment!"

This game should not be sold for 10$ because of how sometimes broken and boring this game can get. In my opinion lower the price to something much cheaper, or just make it free.

I would not recomend to buy this game for the 10$ price, repetative story, cliché and expected plot, and lack of any immersion or interesting story.

*Update*

I have seen that some of the complaints I have covered are being looked at, when some are updated and shipped out into the game, I will re-play it and make another review going off from that. As of now, I still believe in the points listed in the review.

Where do I begin, This game does everything right, its amazing, beautiful and fun to mess around in, I must of made countless solar systems and planets and for a person who is obsessed with space, its quite fun!

And again, the visuals. My god. It's great.

Honestly where do I begin?

Like most of you all this game is what started your adventures on steam, and honestly without it I'd genuinely not be where I am today. Lets face the facts though, TF2 has lost its flow over the years, valve seemingly sweeping it under the rug and taking nearly half of its workforce. However, it cant be denied that Team fortress 2 has a special place in most of our hearts.

Overall most weapons uphold good and fair balancing and manages to bring both a fun, but also casual experience to the FPS genre that I cant say many other titles can boast. It's a perfect game to sit down after a long day, grab a few friends, and make some memories.

It's one amazing game that I'm so damn glad I found

Thanks for the amazing years TF2, here's to the next.
