As much as I've had issues getting in cause of how full these servers are, and the few bugs ive experienced while playing. This is game is awesome. And I respect the ♥♥♥♥ out of the devs for working tirelessly to get all these people in to enjoy this game and join the good fight, FOR FREEDOM, PROSPERITY, AND DEMOCRACY!

I promise you all it is worth the wait.

After allowing myself to sit on this new update and really take in these changes (good and bad). I seriously wish I could give a 'meh' or something along that line.

Hunt is still a great game that I have a good time playing, but it feels like there's so much more lost than gained. The new map is amazing, changes like bullet drop and the shotgun buffs feel good, Necro changes both for solo and team play makes so much more sense for such a powerful effect.

But in turn, a lot of aspects feel more generic and certain playstyles are less-advised because of how weak they've been made in comparison. Almost like it's trying to appeal to a larger audience for increasingly worsening monetization. I see the same 4 recycled weapons every match (Krag, Full Cenni, Mosin, or the 1865 Carbine) with little deviation, it feels like the meta loadout situation is *worse* than it was in legacy. Cyclone is getting love though which is nice, I love using that weapon and it's just nice to see it actually be a strong pick.

The new naming convention and the adjustments made to choke and burn rate feels just straight up bad most of the time. I really liked the charm of how the weapons were full-form, felt like they were more apart of the world. It's overall a small change that doesn't do much to gameplay, but it was such a useless change I just don't get why they did it. The choke and burn timers are bad though, really bad. It feels overkill changing both choke/burn AND Necromancer. Solo players are already less of a constant looming threat because they have two lives max, and Necro on teams is single-use (per person). So it feels so much worse because I do not have a reliable powerful option to try and comeback within the extremely short amount of time it takes to burn someone. Legacy burn rate just felt better to me because if you were tired of just waiting around you could just make a play if you really wanted to, you never *had* to wait you just made the decision to. The slower burn rate opened more opportunities for patient players, but didn't completely take away from people who just wanna run in and clean house. Most importantly it still gave winning teams an advantage, but didn't make it completely hopeless for the losing team. The faster burn rate, if someone is just holding an angle with a shotgun and gets an early down, the disadvantage is much more severe than legacy hunt and that doesn't feel good at all. Underdogs can still make a comeback, but it just feels so bad 90% of the time. Slower burns made winning teams still use their heads and not make stupid plays, but the massive advantage from a *single* down is so severe that even making really bad mistakes, the losing team will hardly be able to capitalize on it. I personally think the new burn rate should only apply in active fire sources, it could push players to bring more fire bombs and make already very powerful tools (Fuses, Flare gun) not as daunting in a teamfight.

The biggest issue overall that I have is the new engine.
While the higher settings do look very pretty, my performance is so much worse.
Even on lower settings it barely runs like it used to. Legacy I could boost everything to max and it would look beautiful at 165~ fps. Now, I can bump everything down to low making my game look so *meh* just to get such insane performance dips *still*. I don't have the most insane PC ever, but most of the legacy player base doesn't either? The lowest settings shouldn't be *more* performance heavy than the highest on the legacy engine. I seriously hope there's some massive improvements to the optimization of this engine, especially because I remember one of the main talking points in the dev logs being something along the lines of "Better visuals and performance than our current engine". I mean hell, even one of my friends who's got all the fancy new-gen stuff will still complain to me about performance issues on medium-high settings. It's just extremely disappointing because it was definitely not what we were promised.

I don't even have to talk about the UI.

Overall I don't want to give it a negative review, because it's still a good, fun game. But god man, these issues are so front and center.

In my opinion, it is not as good as Legacy Hunt. But it still has the chance to grow and improve, I can only hope it actually does, though.

Even though the game is really short, and the story sadly does not add much to the *overall* lore like the other games. The gameplay and mechanics have me really excited for what might come in the future. Hopefully something similar, but gives more to the overall story, rather than a short side-story.

with more hours I can easily say that this game is one of the best multiplayer horrors I've played, the graphics and models give off such a goofy vibe while still scaring the ♥♥♥♥ out of you sometimes. I highly recommend this if you have friends.
