i think as a mystery this game is just somewhere between "okay" and "good" as IMO/E once you gather some clues about a handful of people you can more or less put the whole story together. that's not a super bad thing, but if you're expecting ace attorney, where feeling like you have a strong case is only half the battle because the actual trial section will throw curve balls and challenges at you, you won't get that here. even without that expectation, i think the final arc (basically the trial on) doesn't feel as satisfying as a result of it not properly capitalizing on the tension and build up from 15ish hours of gameplay.

but what really makes this game stand out (besides the incredible art, both 2d characters and 3d settings) is the world building (the movement is really good too, its a joy to run around exploring and collecting ♥♥♥♥). i want so desperately for the world of paradise killer to get more exploration because its INCREDIBLY imaginative. all the gods and demi-gods are so damn cool i just want to know everything i possibly can and get sucked into this universe and read lore and wikis and all that good ♥♥♥♥. that's definitely a good thing, but i ache a little knowing that (at least for now) there isn't anything else out there.

Play this game in VR. It's exhilarating, and one of the best ways to experience "flow state." Intuitive controls and obstacles, and a really killer soundtrack, make it an absolute blast to play.

I love this game. It explores a lot of themes other games wouldn't touch. It's not afraid to shock you, but doesn't do so TO shock you. The story is deep, interesting, and very well presented. It's accompanied by a really good and fitting soundtrack, and the visual style is very unique and equally fitting. It starts off a tad slow, but then ramps up in intensity really quickly. If you give a try, wait at least until you meet Mitzi before you decide if you like it or not.

Pretty damn good ARPG. With a really unique and refreshing take on skill "trees."

It'll make you tear your hair out and swear off video games forever...but it's simple, addicting, well-designed gameplay will keep you coming back for more.

Awesome twist on the classic roguelike. Unlock items and characters as you play, the game never gets old.

Holy balls this game is awesome. I never got into Minecraft because I'm not that creative, but this is awesome because it has a solid ARPG element to it. Things like bosses, gear, crafting, day/night cycle, monsters, and NPC's make it a fantastic play. I already have more than 25 hours into it and I just now found out about custom maps and scenarios and storylines people have written into them. Definitely $10 you won't regret, and since right now it's on sale...
