Early Access Review
With the recent addition of the 0.60 update its glad to see some good progress made with DayZ, the game now not only looks much better then its prior updates but runs much smoother and feels alot more playable then it has previously. That said there are still a-lot of things that need to be worked out for this game to become a truely enjoyable experience.

Here are a few of the pros and cons of DayZ's current standing.

+ Visuals have been update dramaticly and it now has a much more atmospheric feel to the game rather then a plastic empty world.

+ Zombies actually exist in the world now, still not as well iterated as the Arma 2 variant but whilst wondering around major cities if you start to make noise you will be hunted down by zeds and its great fun.

+ Performance has improved a-lot with a steady 40-50 frames in cities and 100+ outside of them on a GTX 980 and an I5 6600k

Cons:

- Slow early game/loot abundunce, during the first few hours of your life in DayZ any real progression seems insanely slow running from building to building just for one can of beans it all feels way to tedious at the moment with low loot spawns and empty buildings.

- Lack of a real end-game, even after you have found yourself an AK and some military gear there is nothing left to really do besides kill people who are far less kitted then you. Any end game PVP is insanely rare and lack of a building mechanic leaves you just wondering around bored.

- Bugs 3 odd years on this game is still riddled with bugs, glithces and crashes

- Melee combat, trying to kill a zombie with an axe is just.. ugh.. its slow its clunky and 90% time it just feels horrible.

-Audio This kind of ties in with the bugs as the overall audio isnt too bad but there are alot of glitched sounds and example being zombie groans and gunshot locations sound like they are in a completely different location then its actual source.

Conclusion, If you have a-lot of paitence then there is a bit of fun to be found here now, and its actually in a state where its playable and feels like the updates are taking it back on track, I just hope more updates like the 0.60 come more frequently as it doesnt take long for the game to grow stale.
