(deprecated) HATS v2 - High accuracy targeting system for MNCS

Description
Important notice: HATS will not work with the new radars. Expect a new system in the near future.

Important: HATS v2 is not compatible with the old MNCS. You need to update your MNCS controllers when using HATS v2.

HATS

HATS (high accuracy targeting system), is a track-while-scan radar or sonar extension for our MNCS.

Features
It displays targets on the base map and can track an indefinite number of targets at once as well as select a target to inspect. It displays the information of the selected target next to the target. B stands for bearing and A for altitude. You can select a target by tapping it and clear it by pressing the "C" in the corner of the interface. When selecting a target, the controller will output the target's position vector, mass and speed in m/s on its composite output.

You may center the map on the target by pressing "CT" (center target) in the corner of the interface.

When using a large radar, "SC" (speed correction) will also be shown in the corner of the interface. This will simulate the movement of targets while the radar is not detecting them directly, and is helpful for tracking them.

It can be used on any monitor, though anything smaller than a 2x2 is not recommended.

The system can be used with the following main sensors:
  • small radar
  • large radar
  • small sonar
  • large sonar
  • huge radar

You may choose from those options in the properties of this microcontroller.

The sonar or radar has to be spawned in in a upright position. After all sensors are arranged properly, the data will be highly accurate.

How to use it on your creation
  1. Place down both the MNCS and HATS controllers.
  2. Connect all logic nodes as they are on the example rig ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2500096752 )
  3. Test it to see if it works correctly.

Changelog
~08/27/21: Added properties for optional drop shadows, mass filter. HATS now works with the huge radar and indicates the heading of a target on the map with a small red line. Fixed bug where "Center target" would center 0,0 when no target selected

i get that this is deprecated. but is there a new one or does this still work?

When will this be updated?

it says its not working with the new radars is that still the case ?

the radars seem to be only able to detect targets that are extremely low, is there a way i could change the pitch fov of the radar to detect higher targets?

It's possible to do that if you chain them, though some UI elements may intersect.

Is it possible to hook TWO of these (one for radar, one for sonar) up to MNCS to get data from both sensors on screen?
