GridLock!

Description
OBJECT

A terrible traffic jam has trapped your ambulance. You must get your passenger to the hospital immediately. Move the vehicles that block your path to get your ambulance out of this GRIDLOCK!

HOW TO PLAY

Once the game is loaded you will be presented with the title and version number screen. Click on the large blue sign to begin. You will be presented with the puzzle last played, or if this is your first game, the first puzzle.

On the play area you will see several vehicles. There are a few yellow taxis and a few silver buses, as well as a white ambulance representing you and your passenger. On the right side of the play field is an open square marked "Exit". This is where you need to move your ambulance to. Near the upper right corner of the play area you will see a question mark (?). When you see this means context sensitive help is available simply by clicking on it.

Above the play area are three small buttons marked "Options", "Reset", and "Password". There functions are explained below. Also at the top are two counters showing the current "Job" number, or level, and the number of moves used so far for the current job.

Below the play area is a zone indicator showing the current level of difficulty. As you play the game you will go through several zones of increasing difficulty, Beginner, Intermediate, and so on. Time in the game is indicated by the health of your patient. A bar at the bottom of the play area shows the patients overall condition. A full green bar indicates stable condition whereas a short red bar indicates that your patient is in critical condition with little time left. Each space you move a vehicle will push time forward one step. Time spent thinking between moves is not counted, so think ahead and use your moves wisely.

Move the vehicles by clicking and dragging with your mouse pointer. Vehicles can only be moved forward and backward; they can not be moved sideways. If you move a vehicle three spaces it counts as three moves. Move your ambulance into the "Exit" square before time runs out to solve the puzzle. Run out of time and you'll have start the job over from the beginning.

To quit the game click on the Close window gadget [X] at the top of the window.

PERFECTION CHALLENGE

Solving a puzzle in the time allowed let's you move to the next challenge, but for a REAL challenge see if you can solve the puzzles in the shortest number of moves possible. When you do you are presented with a "Pefect Driving" medal. If you don't get the "Perfect Driving" medal at the end of a job you can try again by simply clicking the "Reset" button. Are you up to the challenge?

OPTIONS

Clicking the "Options" button takes you to the Options screen where you can toggle sound and music on or off. Click OK to keep your changes or Cancel to discard them.

RESET

Clicking the "Reset" button is a quick way to start a puzzle over if you feel you have made a mistake and can't complete it before time runs out.

PASSWORD

Clicking the "Password" button takes you to the password screen. Each puzzle, or "job", has a different password. The password for the current job is displayed here. There is also a space for you to type a password of a different job. This allows you to replay any job you wish by typing in its password. For your convenience, passwords for each stage of difficulty are:

1........Beginner.............endospondylemisis
11......Intermediate........polyviscerectopia
31......Advanced............polybrachiodynia
51......Expert..................endobrachiemisis
71......Grand Master......decoronalgia

Better late than never, it is finally updated.

Found the problem. Bad logic was passing string_copy a negative length. This didn't cause a crash or errors in the past, but it is clearly my own fault. Fixed and uploaded but Workshop might not update.
