Smileys VS Frownies is currently a work in progress, and has 5 playable levels. The goal of this game will be to rescue the sacred land of Smyrim from the evil Frownies (Who may or may not have come from the moon). During your epic quest to save your land and your fellow Smileys you must collect the lost pieces of Smyforce, and battle the fiercest that the dreaded Frownie Armies have to offer! Growing more powerful along the way, every Frownie that you take down is a fellow Smiley at your side!

In SvF you are allowed a maximum of four Buddies (those yellow guys that follow you around) at any given time. These buddies may be sent out to fend off the Frownie hordes, leaving you free to scout for treasure. They are also able to stay behind and wait, until they get the "all clear" from you. But most importantly, these buddies may be used as "meat shields" to protect you from dangerous enemy fire.

The story behind SvF is a work in progress. As we continue to develop the various stages, and levels for you to battle through, adding tasks and treasures for you to accomplish along the way, we will also be updating the story line. If you're a fan of the first boss fight you'll love what we have in mind for the finished product!

[UPDATE 11/01/2012] --- Squeezed my last update in before the due date at 11! Whew! Anyway this last update before the competition includes a TON of stuff! The biggest change is the graphics. I went through and redid all of the graphics. They're still not perfect, but they are better.

The next thing is the save/load system. I improved upon that greatly. It's not perfect either, but much more stable than before.

Also added the most basic of a story line. Just so people can get a hint of what I'm aiming for.

Better GUI included in this update.

Also went through and cleaned up a lot of the code. Because of this and the time limit to make the competition, I may have a few bugs floating around, so let me know!

Anyway that's about it. Enjoy the game and please leave some feedback!
