Memento Mori

Description
"Memento Mori - Remember Your Mortality"

Memento Mori is a game based on the famous Latin poem of the same name, designed based on the theme of "Extinction".

Featuring double metaphors related to the theme of "Extinction" (both of the Latin Language and Human Life), players guide a Roman Poet through a series of platforms made from the famous poem, as the words crumble behind him, while he runs towards salvation. Realised through the gameplay and presentation of the game, players are left to ponder on the metaphorical overtones and how the theme of is realised.

Oh cool! I'll add you up and perhaps we could trade pointers...

Ya I have a little experience. I'm actually going to be releasing a tower defense for iPad in a few weeks.

@Ottepsir2002: Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad that you liked it. Yeah, the obstacles were just some standard "flames of death" and "spirits" kinda thing... which is related to the "death" theme, but I know what you mean...

@Dark Rain: Yup, but currently I'm putting together a new rhythm game for next month's competition, so will look into an iOS version of this after that perhaps. Thanks for the feedback. Btw, do you have any experience developing for iOS using GM Studio? I'm curious to know what the process is like...

very interesting concept. The game is enjoyable, the graphic of obstacles isn't so consistent with the context, a better one would be apreciate. In the end i like your game, i'm going to add it to my favorite list

I think it could be done, but it sounds like you've got your hands full for a while.

Thanks for the feedback Darkrain.

Still considering the options... and if there are ways to design it by avoiding virtual keys is possible... as I prefer more intuitive controls for iOS games.

Cool! Is it intended for iOS?
