Check your HDR and graphics settings. Your gamma or monitor brightness may be too high.

Might be because most "night" maps are simply recolors of day maps, and dont forget that most (night) city maps implement streetlights to prevent this darkness. This map forces players to use their headlights. It also allows them to be concealed by the darkness which is the reason why this version even exists.
