Era - 1940s / 1950s

A good case can be made for the argument that no person had more influence on the history of pro wrestling than George Wagner. Gorgeous George was pro wrestling's first flamboyant heel, first great promo artist and first television star. Even the likes of Muhammad Ali and James Brown incorprated parts of his act into their own public persona.
