Description
1 Byte, Stackable and Programmable Memory Cell

Refer to the images above to see where things need to be connected. Remove the hazard blocks and manual Inputs when copying and adding Memory Cells. You can quickly make a large Memory bank by welding Cells together, which will mean you can double the amount of Cells each time up to 16 very quickly.

How to Setup:
  • To easily setup each Memory Cell when stacking, change all of it's Selection Bus Logic Gates (the 4 diagonal Logic Gates to the Far Left of the Memory Cell, picture 4) to AND. Then travel to the Selection Switches and change the Switches to what you want the Memory Cells Address to be (0000, 0010, 1011 ect.), then travel back to the Memory Cell and change any off Logic Gates in the same 4 Bit Selection area as before to NOR. Now the Memory Cell will be responding to any Read or Write calls when the same 4 Bit Selection Address is entered.

Notes:
  • Maximum amount of Memory Cells that can be stacked is 16, as thats the largest number a 4 bit value can represent (the Selection Bus). However you can very easily expand this to whatever you require.

  • Each Memory Cell can store a Byte of data (8 bits), which can be used to represent an unsigned number (no sign means only positive, as in no negative or positive sign) between 0 and 255. Or a signed number between -128 and 127. You could also design a system to combine Memory Cells together to provide larger numbers.
