Description

Today, you will be operating the 12:00 First Great Western service from Paignton to Exeter. Your loco is a 3 car 166 unit, which has been transferred to the Riviera Line from other bases in the network.

The timetable is fairly lenient, so you can be gentle with the throttle and brakes - even though the Class 166 has terrible acceleration and brakes! Judge your braking distances wisely.

DIFFICULTY: 2/5 (not challenging, but not boring)
TIME: 45mins

(Jun - 2023). Nicely done, ran without problems. All times easily achievable and plenty of AI's running about.

I must admt as well, I tried the scenario, and ended up missing one of the platforms un the process. More practice required!

Many thanks for this scenario PigScroll. I must admit the more practice I get driving the Class166 the easier it is to control although the painfully slow acceleration is a problem!! The timings in your scenario though do make allowances for this which is a great help, Some of the other scenarios, when driving the 166, are far too tight and impossible to stick to! Many thanks for creating and sharing this.

Indeed, 166 is horrible to drive, but that does add to the fun of the scenario.

Creator's comments were most helpful. The class 166 is a dreadful DMU, interesting AI traffic. Recommended.
