Magma troopers were stormtroopers utilized by the Galactic Empire to crush revolts on volcanic mining worlds like Sullust. They wore a variant of the stormtrooper armor that had padding on the legs and hips, rank pauldrons similar to that of the sandtrooper and a modified respirator which connected via tube to an air pack, possibly to cut off contact with volcanic ashes and chemicals too deadly to even attempt filtering. They utilized many different weapons such as T-21 light repeating blasters and DLT-19 heavy blaster rifles.
