Description
Andromeda Drive Yards frigates are intended to defend larger allied vessels and hunt down small enemy ships, essentially destroyers in miniature. The Adder is capable of both, with its high acceleration and relatively heavy armament of railguns, conventional cannons, and ASM-3A Nova anti-ship missiles.

Armament

2x ASM-3A Nova missile launchers, 200 missiles
6x AC-3A 75mm anti-ship autocannons, 5000 rounds
8x MCR-3B general-purpose railguns
2x MCR-4A general-purpose railguns

Defenses

Hull: 55mm general-purpose composite
Whipple Shield: 6mm anti-flash Whipple shield, 500mm aerogel filler

Power Plant

2x 50MW Reactors

Crew and Tonnage: 49 crew, 2,000 tons

Cost: 16.1 Mc
