Era - 1970s / 1980s - CWA / Memphis Wrestling / AWA

At one point in time, Jerry Lawler was as big of a star in professional wrestling as anyone. A massive draw in the Memphis territory, Lawler won titles in various organizations, including the AWA, his home turf of Memphis, WCCW and multiple NWA belts.

Lawler gained his greatest notoriety with his feud against performance art comic Andy Kaufman, injuring his neck with a piledriver, and then engaging in a heated exchange with Kaufman on the Late Night show.

He used fireballs a LOT in Memphis. Typically threw flash paper at people. Lots of footage out there.
