Back in 2075 many game developers were creating and releasing unfinished and often buggy games. Reflection Studios decided to break the mold and wait till their game was fully complete before calling it done. Even though this had mixed opinions through out the Duration community, most agree that a finished game that you can play is better than a finished one that you can't. Even though at times it seemed like development was taking a long time, the end result was far greater than what most were expecting. The custom maps were a good way to past the time while waiting also.

The thing about Power Drive 2000 is it only has to make its theme look good from one particular angle: Forward. 20 feet from the car's rear bumper. That makes it a bit of a challenging theme for a main menu level in Distance. This is certainly an admirable attempt.
