Wyrd Pariah Class

Description
The Wyrd Pariah

"There, at the very edge of that lonely copse, did I bear witness to a most alarming and abhorrent sight. Clad in scarlet was a frail-looking waif; no older than twenty. She danced around what seemed to be cairn pillars, erected facing the raging sea. Out of her bloodied lips came terrible, blasphemous supplications, no doubt directed towards some nefarious pagan god of old; one whose name can only be remembered by the ancient stones.

The wretched maiden raised her dagger at the sky; its keen edge glinting through the darkness. Her unfortunate sacrifice, a black goat, began to bleat in the most horrifying manner. The hapless animal thrashed and flailed, to a point that its body contorted and twisted beyond normal physical limitations.

Nature herself began to feel restless in response to this unholy deed; the cold, northern winds began to lash out and the waves threatened to dismantle that cursed cliff. The snarls and yawps of woodland beasts grew more and more malicious as time passed. It was as though a great presence of noneuclidean proportion was about to break the fragile dimensions of this world.

Soon, a portent foulness had seeped into the air. Grievous malediction began to slither into my thoughts; whispering vileness in its entirety.

It was clear that I had to flee at that very moment before the worst had transpired; a decision I do not regret to this day.

Curiousity be damned, for I valued my precious sanity."

- Testimony of one William Sprenger, "A Short Discourse Into Hysteria and Dementia"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to my Pariah class mod! But before anything else, let me make some things clear:

1. The base model is just a glorified reskin of the Flagellant (special thanks to modder Lemorack for allowing me to use the Penitent Sister skin mod as a template! :D)
2. It has no CC Trinkets yet (I'm still trying to think of a set with a theme)
3. This class has no Heroic resolves. Much like the Flagellant, it can only get one Affliction once it reaches 100 stress (more on this later)

And with that out of the way, here's a brief introduction to the class.

The Pariah, an outcast shunned from the Wyrd Council for dabbling too deeply into eldritch knowledge, possesses some extremes of the Occultist in terms of functionality. It can heal and buff your party, debuff enemies, mark them, and most obviously, summon forth cosmic horrors to batter down your enemies. However, all of this comes with a greater price, whether to speeding the Pariah's fall into insanity through constant self inflicted stress, feeding off her own lifeforce, or worse, spreading the horror to your own comrades.

Her skills are as follows:

1. Deranged Gibberish - A debuff that affects all rows, lowering enemy attack and accuracy. Adds stress per enemy hit.
2. Dagger of Ritual - Your basic damage dealing skill, and is your bread and butter in terms of DPS, or rather, DPT. It deals bonus damage to marked and stunned enemies and has a chance to heal a small amount of stress.
3. Offer Flesh - A healing ability that relies on a dice roll like the Occultist's Wyrd Reconstruction, but instead of one target, this heals everyone in the party. At Lv4, the skill has a heal range of 0-11, but it also applies bleed on your self per party member healed, as well as stress.
4. Prepare Sacrifice - Stuns and marks one enemy. Moves the Pariah forward. Has a chance to heal stress.

Special Summoning Abilities - These abilities call on eldritch beings that have strong effects, but are limited in use as well as infliciting a grave amount of stress to the Pariah. Not only can they be only used at certain health percentages, using them recklessly could potentially jeopardize your expedition as your Pariah becomes more and more stressed, so use them with caution and in the proper situations. Also, these abilities all decrease your torchlight by a considerable amount per use.

1. Call Starspawn - summons a Shambler that assails the front two rows, and inflicts them with blight. Can be used twice per battle and at 80% Hp or lower.
2. Finger of the Sky - a very powerful ability that calls forth a cosmic being from the heavens. It deals great damage on stunned enemies, however beware of enemies with high Prot as it can completely negate the huge damage this could potentially do. Much better to have someone weaken them first for a killing blow. It can only be used once and at 70% Hp or lower. It can also stun the Pariah, so if you want to make a build around this ability, bring some stun resist trinkets.
3. Nyarlathotep's Mark - a buff that applies the Crawling Chaos' symbol on your party. It increases dodge, protection and accuracy, but applies Horror status on everyone. Can be used twice per battle and at 90% Hp or lower.

The Pariah's Special Affliction:

Consumed - Much like the Flagellant's Rapturous affliction, this puts the Pariah into a berserk fury. It boosts her damage at the cost of reduced max Hp and will even buff your party at certain intervals. But instead of randomly attacking your party, the Pariah abandons all manner of self preservation. She wil constantly mark herself, inflict damage on herself, refuse heals from others and worse of all, she will cancel all your attempts to retreat until she dies, making hairy encounters especially on Champion Dungeons a very dangerous and even fatal experience. Because of this, expect a lot of Pariahs to be frequent residents in the local cemetary.

Camping Skills

1. Admit Fear - 60% to add +25 Stress, 40% to heal 40 Stress, cost 1 (Self Only)
2. Dark Comfort - If not Religious: heal 20 Stress, If Religious: 60% to add 15 Stress, cost 2 (Party)
3. Bloodletting Techniques - Remove blight and disease, 40% chance to reduce bleed resist by 15%, +10 stress, cost 3 (One Companion)
4. Sky Ritual - Prevents night ambush, -30% chance to be surprised, +25 Stress to self, all compaions +15 ACC, cost 4
5. Eldritch Pact - If have Death's Door debuff: +25% deathblow resist, remove DD debuff, + 30% dmg, -30% virtue chance, cost 5 (One Companion)

I hope you all find fun playing this risky class. You'll probably even appreciate using some Laudanum.

Please do tell me about bugs and errors.

Some feedback regarding class balance would also be most welcome.

Does she have a default name?
I'm making an extension for the mod that (1) adds a french translation and (2) gives her a collector head

kinda feel like she should have a lower but garanteed bleed instead of chance per hero

Pretty fun. Just one thing though, the outline on the red armlet on their right arm becomes really thick during their walking animation, otherwise it's great

Wait a sec. Why the hell does the Shambler I summon scream at my enemies instead of. . . Actually Slashing them with his fucking claw?

Just started using this mod this playthrough. It's really fun. All I've done is lowered the dmg buff to mark/stun just slightly as I felt she was hitting a little too hard. Didn't want to touch her base dmg stats because her summon abilities are in a good spot in terms of balance.

I'd love a new skin for both models that set them more apart from the Flag, but I know this would take a lot of effort and it's only minor. The animations are really great.
