CyberHawk-Mk I All Purpous Ship

Description
This is my first attempt at an asthetically pleasing ship. I was so proud of myself that I shared it to the workshop. Some may not be impressed, but I quite frankly can't believe I managed to get this thing looking semi-decent.

All that aside, this ship is fully functional in-game, and can deal with pretty much any threat the game (not other players) can throw at you, especially if running away counts as "Dealing with a threat". Lightly armed it may be, but it's enough to get the job done. It has constructors, refrigerators, storage, all the oxygen-related devices, and an armor locker.

I would reccomend this ship for the purpouses of base-raiding (as It's not bad at picking off turrets), long-term landing missions, and exploration in hostile environments. It is efficiant at killing drones of all shapes and sizes, although in a dogfight with another player your best bet is to run. while it's lasers are probably sufficient for dogfights with smaller fighters, it does not really have the turn radius to be effective, and it's armor consists of only one layer of regular steel. You might be able to win, but not without sustaining damage.

I will make a combat variant of this ship, although It will likely still suffer in the armor department.

What do you guys think? Did I do a half-decent job here? Should I give up ship building? Most importantly: After the combat variant, should I continue with this design and make a Mk II version? I want the next one to be more combat ready, and I would like to know if I should abandon this design and start fresh. Also, is there a way to quickly replace all steel blocks with armor blocks?
