The elevator would generate new sounds.
This only works if you move the "pk3" into your "baseq3" folder and rename it.

~ Browse into your system and search the Steam directory.
~ Search this folder: ( ... \ steam \ steamapps \ workshop \ content \ 282440 \ 1101112248 )
~ The downloaded file known as "deadsouls.pk3"
~ Move this file into your baseq3 folder: ( ... \ steam \ steamapps \ common \ Quake Live \ baseq3 )
~ Rename the file to "z-deadsouls.pk3"
~ Beware that this move overwrite the "plat_sounds" from all other maps
~ To uninstall this sound effect delete the "z-deadsouls.pk3" from your baseq3 folder.
