The year 2100 saw one of the worst freeway accidents ever recorded in Helix City's history. A Quantum capable car stalled out of quantum in the middle of the freeway and died. Less than a second later another car still in quantum smashes into the stalled one. The resulting impact could not be seen, only felt though the shock wave. But it didn’t stop there. The main problem being, in quantum you can see things outside of quantum. While the debris was still airborne another car in quantum drove through it, and got shredded. This process continued for what is accepted to be 30 more cars, until it was blatantly visible that something was wrong with the road and all traffic was stopped. Out of the 33 known to be involved, none survived, and nothing could be recovered. Post tragedy new safety features were implanted in the cars allowing them to auto recover and go back into quantum in case of a failure.
