A research station on the desert planet of Faras IV has gone silent; it's last message, a confused, incoherent ramble sent from the inside of one of the research pods the scientists used to study the genome of a local species. A local militia force was dispatched to investigate some weeks after, but they too have gone quiet.

All sensors have failed. All those sent to the facility have not returned.

Something lurks within the depths of the compound. A thing unknown, that has claimed the lives of hundreds.

Unwilling to see decades of research lost to orbital bombardment, high command has dispatched a company of local Desert Raiders, in the hopes that they succeed where the militias failed.
