Description
Another oldie, released by NAIisI back in 98, this was later repaired by Zen, but still had problems. Bad versions of the map were still hosted, and a couple things on the "fixed" map would cause 1.5 to crash. So here is a REALLY fixed version of Mars Canyons, with a wall around the top to stop those pesky unit fall-offs, a lua script with objectives, VOs and other improvements. Read the ssuser_xxx_changelog text for a complete list of changes. Enjoy this golden oldie.

I saw that, but it is not much of a problem, considering that the AI pretty much gets its later scrap via lua on a timer. Also, changing that would affect the ability of the player to attack the CCA base from above, enemy units would run up there more efficiently. Not sure if that was the intent of the original mapper, but I didn't want to change the gameplay, so I stuck with just adding a perimeter wall. From what I remember Zen already added in some gentler slopes, apparently they were even worse in the very first version.

Glad you enjoyed this, it's sort of a nostalgic map for some of us old-time BZ players.

This is a fun one!
One thing of note, the terrain at the rear of the main CCA base is sloped just enough that Scavengers will path up it but is too steep for them to actually climb, resulting in them getting stuck on it, I recommend either making it more of a ramp or a straighter cliff.
