USS Constellation (Battle Damaged)

A year after her Shakedown Cruise, the USS Constellation finally was put to the test in the Battle of Sol, the largest engagement against the Pirate Horde fleet since the ESS Enterprise of over a century ago. However, the Pirate fleet by this time had reversed engineered several key technologies, notibly Shields and laser turrets, and equipped several of their most power ships with those weapons. In the ensuing battle, Earth lost several ships, many of them Frigates, as well as the USS Journey, a Voyager class ship. Constellation came through, however she was considerabledamaged, losing main power, half of her port nacelle, and multiple breaches. Only after limping back to Earth (on purely aux thrusters due to the power loss), she was refurbished, repaired and put back into service, however she was out for over six months due to these repairs.
