Smeltdown

Description
Greatly increases the smithing abilities of Skyrim. Smelt down almost all armor and weapons, craftable arrows, and more craftable items to come.

Smeltdown
- Almost all armor and weapons in the world of Skyrim are now able to be broken down into ingots and leather.
- Craftable arrows, pickaxe, and woodcutter's axe
- More recipes to come.

Recent Updates
- To keep smithing a little more balanced 2 Leather Bracers or 2 Hide Bracers are now required to make a piece of leather instead of the original one, same as 2 Iron Daggers are required to create an iron ingot.
- Falmer set added to craftable items/weapons.

If you dont see the smelt down recipes its because you dont have the proper materials to do so. They show up like the options to craft leather do only when you have pelts(materials).

So this is done by one author and smeltdown 1.2 is done by another another? On the other thread the author says that 1.2 is an updated version of this even though it is not in the description? This continues to work quite well for me so I am sticking with it unless the author encourages otherwise.

Does this work with Armor Mods?

@starlighnv yes i did and that is why i am confused because no new option popped up saying two iron helmets for one iron bar or something like that. i am wondering if this is a glitch and i am needing to remove it then re-install it but thank you starlightnv for trying to help.

@titanmaster325 did you try using the smelter? That's how it usually works.

i dont exactly understand what you are supposed to do in order to smelt down your armour that you collect. for example i have 2 iron helmets and i am unable to smelt them down into iron bars. so if someone can please help me i need to know how to get to the Smeltdown function. Thank you for any and all help

I really like this mod. However, there are many mods that have arrow/pickaxe/woodsman's axe recipes, and adding your own just clutters my crafting menus and such. It'd be nice for a version that didn't have the crafting recipes, just the melting down of stuff.

This mod is really great. I am using it with my Story of my Orc....rated :)
