Screen model

Description
A simple screen model I did.

Submaterial tool is highly recommended for this:

Features:
  • 2 versions - one with stand and one without.
  • 2 screens in one place - this means that you can apply a texture to the screen and have it either stretched to 16:9 or cropped to 16:9 - you choose.
  • Absense of that cup in the picture.
  • It turns into a one-way seethrough unbreakable obstacle when you apply a transparent texture to it.

Both props are:
  • garrysmod\models\props\ARScreen.mdl
  • garrysmod\models\props\ARScreenNoBase.mdl
It adds materials(not to material tool, just into the game files):
  • garrysmod\materials\models\props\ARDarkgrayblueish.vtf - self-explainatory
  • garrysmod\materials\models\props\ARScreen.vtf &vmt - the base gray color with ports and "ARC" logo below
  • garrysmod\materials\models\props\ARScreenCrop.vmt - reflective screen material that uses first texture from this list.
  • garrysmod\materials\models\props\ARScreenStretch.vmt - Same as vol_light001 i.e. fully transparent and meant to be replaced.
  • garrysmod\materials\models\props\ARScreenStretchOld.vmt - same as ARScreenCrop, not used.

Oh. Sorry, I'm not much of a modeller these days, not sure I'll even be able to pull off any other model, iirc it was a pretty complicated process lol

As for green screen, as said, you can set its material to that RT camera one, and then get an RT camera and point that towards something green.

The screen should be located in the first spawnmenu menu(Props), in the list of things on the left, in the "Addons" folder, in the "Screen model" folder, in the "props" folder inside of "Screen model" folder.
Click on the "props" folder itself to see it, you should.

And if not, make sure you are subscribed to this addon and don't have it disabled.

considering you can have it use the RT camera, why don't you just make an RT camera point towards something green????

also i got the mod but i cant find a ARScreen.mdl under the addon folder for props in the meterials folder there are the meterials under screen model there is also no folder called screen model in the addon props folder ether what is the location of the folder props/name of the sectoin (section as in a player model would be in the addons folder of props or the tecncail term brouse then you go into the props folder) regaurdless i cant find the addon folder and i would love to use this mod help also sorry for spelling/gramer
