Description
Introducing, Apache.

Apache has humble, yet booming origins. It results from a challenge I issued myself for a super cheap starter SURVIVAL CV. The demands I placed on myself went thusly:

Must be:
<3000 iron Ingots(ideally less than 2k)
No greater than level 7.
Must have only one small CV thruster in all thrust directions.
Only 1 basic CV RCS.
Must have a decent hangar
Must be oxygenated
Must have space to place future devices like a warp drive, turrets, thrusters, etc.
Must not be a random amalgamation of things or a box(i.e. Function AND form.)

Apache NAILS those requirements.

However, it will come as a surprise to no one that it is hilariously bare-bones. No grav-gen, no constructors, and only has 12 m/s^2 in all directions - which is fine for most planets but BE CAREFUL on high-g worlds. Is supposed to be a BA replacement; sort of an easy to get lvl 7 starter SURVIVAL CV.

Despite its lack of devices, it is emanently easy to expand, add to, and is an awesome little ship.

And if I need to tell you to not take this into PVP I will be grumpy.

Could be nice for a quick spawn in co-op situations or certain kinds of survival servers. Designed with single player survival in mind.

Enjoy!

Yeah, that stems from the windows over the turret postions being "aimed downwards" as in the space of the partial block is deceptively in your way. I did that because I asumed the first thing that players would use this for is heading to the moons and I was not sure what the priorities would be. So I went with turrets, and then if players need to, you can whip out the handy mutli-tool and reverse them.

Its a nice small CV. i like that is is built with room to expand in mind, however there is a lot of unusable space.

I may be horribly late to this, but I really like this challenge, and your shot at it. The apache is a wonderful little CV, so I decided to take on the challenge myself, the end result is the Manta: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1200435764&searchtext=manta

Heck yeah you can Roland! I designed it with that in mind. I will say that the warp drive will require some... maneuvering... :) But I have used the ship twice now and it is eminently moddable! :steamhappy:

Nice job mate. Despite the resource cap its a nice looking ship. Question though. Are you able to add other systems and turrets or constructors without compromising the design? (lack of power or messes with the O2 somehow)

A nice looking build! My own take on the same thing turned out the Swallow: steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1097099914

I'm subbing because yours the neat feature of supporting a warp drive, and super cheap warp sleds are often ugly as sin. This has actual aesthetics.
