DFC Valiant (Modded)

Designed during a lull in the conflict between the human colonies and the Imperium, the Valiant Multi-Enviormental Dropship was rushed into service to provide the fledgling allience with the ability to deploy infantry in small groups accross the surface of a contested world. Bulky, and lightly shielded for a craft of its size, it does its job, and not much else.
The turrets allow the craft to deal with light opposition, and provide a limited amount of support to troops on the ground, but the thin armor of the troop bays makes it inadvisable to attempt anything other than landing the squad while they're aboard. Aditionally, there is a large cargo containment unit aboard to allow the Valiant to carry the supplies for a series of light defensive improvements.
Initial designs included a retractible ramp, but the idea was scrapped to reduce cost and hurry along development.


Notes: For those times you need to get your buddies on the ground and have a REALLY big hangar.
