IMP DI-01 Dreadfighter (Moddless)

The Dreadling Industries first series Dreadfighter was designed on request of the Grand Lord himself, several years after encountering the alien species commonly known as the Dreadlings. After integrating them into the Imperium, they proved themselves to be quick learners, and the best part was their abundance. Unreasonably fanatical, and willing to do anything for the Imperium since they were taught the ways of orderly civilization, they readily enter these small craft, in fact they line up in droves just for the chance to combat the enemies of the Imperium.

The Dreadfighter has been optimized for cost-reduction, and has only the most minimalistic weaponry and life support. The overbuilt reactor/engine assembly is designed to opperate in all enviornments, and as such, no enemy of ours is safe from the swarms of these craft we can field.

We have recently been made aware that this craft has earned the nickname 'Barnicle Fighter' among such of our enemies as the Destiny Fleetyards Corporate, and have extrapolated this is because of the means of deplyment. As many of the craft are magneticly clamped onto the hulls of our capital vessels as there is open hull space, and they remain there during FTL jumps until an enemy is encountered.

Due to the instability of the power systems, some Dreadlings have taken to overloading their craft's cores just before executing a ram, this usually causes substantial damage to the target.
