Era - 1970s - NJPW / Freelance

Pro wrestling's original Undertaker, so named for his gaunt appearence, was a high level amateur wrestler exceeding in both Greco and Freestyle. Bock competed in the European championships and went hold for hold with Olympic medalists.

Passed over for the German Olympic team in 1972, Bock went into the professional ranks. His fearsome suplexes, imposing frame and technical foundation gave him a series of high profile victories, and is one of the only men in history to defeat both Antonio Inoki and Andre the Giant.

He also ran his own series of events, the main event being himself vs. A BEAR. Very influental wrestler in japan.
