Era - 1930s / 1950s

A two-way force for the University of Minnesota in the 1920s and the Chicago Bears football team in the 1930s, Nagurski would begin wrestling in the off season in the early 30s. His explosive power and punishing charges would transition well to the wrestling world, as Nagurski would go on to win the NWA World Heavyweight title, beating the great Lou Thesz to do so. Late in his career, Nagurski would win tag team honors with an up and coming Verne Gagne.
