Jon Arbuckle

Jonathan Quentin "Jon" Arbuckle (b. July 28, 1950) is the main human character from the Garfield comic strip and the deuteragonist of the Garfield franchise.
He is present in all branches of the Garfield franchise excluding a few video games. Arbuckle is the second most common in the Garfield comic strip, appearing almost every day. He and Garfield provide most of the dialogue on a regular basis, though he uses speech bubbles, instead of thought bubbles.

He has a very large family, mostly consisting of uncles and aunts. Jim Davis revealed that he has based much of himself into Jon, such as that him and Arbuckle share a same birthday, is also a cartoonist and among other things.

He is a cartoonist by profession, which was established in the first strip, the television cartoons Garfield and Friends, The Garfield Show and later by Liz Wilson (much to her parents shock).
