Description
Soldiers get scars when they're supposed to.

Specifically, Firaxis changed it so when a unit gets gravely injured, they get a chance of getting a scar, as a replacement for Shaken being turned into a status for the Will system.

They did not, however, actually fix the bug that made it so units didn't get scars at all. :/

New facial scars will only occur if a unit is detected to have no scars and they successfully rolled for it: already scarred units will be ignored.

Credit goes to Mr Nice and his original Shaken Scars Are Back mod: I've just been beating this up so it works in a X2DLCInfo-style mod instead.

@hottt3
They're just cosmetic

Could someone explain to a noob please, what do those scars actually mean? Are they only cosmetic? Or they add some penalties to the character's stats? Thanks.

One Steam tag should be sufficient!

War of the Chosen

NOT war of the chosen!
NOT WotC!

does need update?

I think it might not work with certain mods, I've been playing Covert Infiltration Beta and have so far never seen a gravely wounded soldier receive a scar.

I have tried this mod and it seems to not happen too often.

I'd say pick one or the other. But hey, if you really want both, try it out.

@stylejoker00:
They both basically do the same thing.
