Wrestling for organizations such as the UWF and Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi, Ken Shamrock was at the cutting edge of the martial arts world, helping found Pancrase with other Fujiwara members and demonstrating the strength of pro wrestling against other styles. Shamrock appeared at the first Ultimate Fighting Championship and was a mainstay in the early UFC events.

Eventually, Shamrock found his way to the WWF, billed as the World's Most Dangerous Man, and demonstrated his deadly submission skills to win the King of the Ring and the Intercontinental title.
