Realistic Casualties and Manpower Mod

Description
[ -- MOD DISCONTINUED -- ]

I won't be updating or developing these mods anymore, for several reasons.

Feel free to use any part of these mods in your own work, credit is appreciated.

[ -- What does this mod do? -- ]

Do you think the game is too easy?
Do you think the amount of casualties in the game are too low compared to real history?
Are you tired of ending a world conquest, never having a lack of manpower?

This mod aims to fix all of this, and more. These issues, which myself and many others recognize as a flaw in the game, are all connected to one number - manpower. This mod attempts to fix or improve all things manpower related. It currently does so in a number of ways:

- All manpower requirements are quadroupled (x4). This obviously increases the manpower needed for army, fleet and airforce, and more importantly increases the amont of losses from attrition and military engagements.

- Conquering a state from another country will reduce the population of the state by 90 000. This is to simulate the civilian casualties that have always been a part of military land warfare. Note that each state will only have its population reduced this way once, meaning a frontline going back and forth will not cause repeated casualties.

- Dropping an atomic bomb will cause 120 000 casualties in the state.

- Nukes also have increased military effect. Land units hit will take anywhere between 60% and 110% damage, compared to the vanilla 10% to 90%. This means that one nuke will always give a major tactical advantage, and two will ensure a tactical breakthrough.

[ -- FAQ -- ]

Won't this make the game more difficult?

- Yes, particularly for smaller nations, so if you already have manpower issues in your games, this mod can't be recommended. But if you'd like a bigger challenge, then this mod might just give it to you.

Aren't the manpower amounts for individual divisions / units / ships / planes unrealistic?

- Yes, which is something that I haven't yet found a workable solution to. For now you can imagine the numbers as also including the people who construct the ships and planes, those who produce the ammunition, those who replace broken equipment, those who deliver all the equipment and ammunition, those who make and deliver the food etc etc, since none of these are represented in the game.

Can i use this mod along with the [ ... ] mod?

- This mod works along with most other mods, unless they add units or make changes to the vanilla battalions / units.
