Documents\my games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config there u open the file XComGameData with a txt editor and then u need to search for the MaxHeroesPerFaction.
Even this is a really nice mod u should at least write down the correct path with the correct search to shorten it doesnt help.
I'm afraid I've never used LWotC. Also check out this guide:

tyvm! i think i understand now. But i guess i will just use another mod for this because i dont want to have to mess with the game files every single time i change my modpack. Because you answered that quickly i assume you know wether LWOTC allows more than one faction soldier too?
This time i read the comments to make sure i dont ask common knowledge and i found this exact question but no answer.
(I have wanted to try long war again anyway now that i bought the monster hunter dlc from the recent sale)
The path in the Description is very, very wrong. It's in your My Games folder, scroll down
I found the file in User/Docs/My Games/XCOM2 War Of The Chosen/XComGame/Config.
It's line 2768 for me. What isn't mentioned here is whether you need to change it in the game directory or your main directory (e.g. (C:) and (F:), I'm assuming it's (C:)?
