Paul Heyman got his start in the 1980s when he organized a wrestling show at New York's famous Studio 54. That show debuted the legendary Bam Bam Bigelow, and involved presenting an award to Ric Flair. He later would take on the name Paul E. Dangerously, working as a manager who's massive 80's cell phone served as insurance for his clients. Paul would form the original Dangerous Alliance in AWA along with Adrian Adonis and The Original Midnight Express. He ended up working for WCW until 1993 when he went to work with Eddie Gilbert and Todd Gordon at the NWA's Eastern Championship Wrestling. In 1994 he and his conspirators had NWA Champion Shane Douglas throw down the NWA Championship, and announce that the ECW Championship was now a world championship. Eastern Championship Wrestling became Extreme Championship Wrestling, and the hardcore revolution began. Professional wrestling would never be the same again, and that's not a figure of speech. Heyman wheeled and dealed his way onto TNN cable TV. He poured his heart and soul into his company, even if his questionable business acumen would eventually lead to ECW's demise. He had a knack for getting wrestlers over like it was f*cking magic, which is to say from Steve Austin to Chris Jericho- Heyman is an absolute kingmaker. ECW defined wrestling in the 90s, until 2001 when they folded and were later acquired by Vince McMahon. Heyman continues to work for WWE to this day, as the manager of the current champion, Brock Lesnar. Heyman may be the greatest mind in pro wrestling history, and this collection is an homage to his genius.
