[WOTC] Better Attachments

Description
-- Better Attachments --
-- Mod by DerBK --

This mod replaces the basic Repeater, Stock and Scope with new versions.

-- REPEATER --

The vanilla Repeater is an RNG dependent mess that has no place in a tactical game.
The new Repeater exchanges the all-or-nothing RNG from vanilla Repeaters for a bonus to the other RNG mechanic that already exists in the game: Crit Damage.
Basic Repeater: +1 Crit Damage
Advanced Repeater: +2 Crit Damage
Superior Repeater: +3 Crit Damage

-- SCOPE --

Vanilla Scopes offer very easy access to high aim bonuses without any tradeoffs. They are universally powerful on any weapon type and there is little player choice involved.
The new Scope doesn't progress completely linear, instead it works like this:
Smart Scope (Tier1): Shots from weapons with this attachment can't graze.
Reflex Scope (Tier2): Offers Covering Fire.
Smart Reflex Scope (Tier3): Combination of Tier 1 and Tier 2

-- STOCK --

The guaranteed damage on Stocks makes little to no sense gameplay wise.
The new Stock gives access to an aim bonus, filling in for the lost bonus on the scope. However, this aim bonus comes at a price. To profit from it, the player needs to use the "Stabilized Shot" ability, which costs both actions.
Basic Stock: Offers Stabilized Shot with +5 aim.
Advanced Stock: Offers Stabilized Shot with +10 aim.
Superior Stock: Offers Stabilized Shot with +15 aim.

-- KNOWN ISSUES --

The resistance order that buffs attachments currently has no effect on these new ones.

-- FAQ --

Q: Can you split this mod up into multiples, offer switches for all kinds of things, add additional abilities, configurations and various other bells and whistles?

A: This is just a quick release of something i made for myself, i don't have the time or need to split it in three or make tons of customization for it. The values for the crit damage and the aim bonus are adjustable via ini, that's all for now.

Q: Can we at least get a version of the mod that has only the Repeater change?

A: Fiiiiiine, here you go: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1130014360

Does stabilised shot just apply to the next shot or keep applying till you move or something?

Over the years that has been requested a few times, but i am not aware that anyone made such a mod. I didn't. And i didn't make the mod in a way that would allow for picking the attachments, sorry.

Is there a way to disable the repeaters and keep the scopes and stocks? I want to use Musashi's suppressors mod with this, if possible.

@FreeHK&TaiwanNo.1(13Crusader13) the laser sight does that already mate, no need for two

Hmm. I've really come to appreciate your way of thinking of attachments. I hope these can work for LWOTC when it's fully released.

Actually, i am not sure. It was made for WotC, of course. But i don't know if anything with the attachments changed from the original XCOM2 to WotC that would be relevant here.

Worth a try, but i can give no guarantees. I'd not risk it.

Also forgot about the auto-loaders, but yes thanks for the info.

There's also the laser sight that still gets a bonus, but i do agree that its a bit iffy.

If you want to disable Insider Knowledge, that's a quite simple edit in the GameData.ini that you could do yourself.

Ctrl+F for "ResCard_", that should bring you to a text block that has stats for all the resistance orders. Or search for "InsideKnowledge" that gets you directly to the right one.
By putting a ResCard's strength value to something unrealistic (like 99), you can disable them.

Not sure if that applies to ongoing campaigns, though. I would guess not.
