Description
Leonard John McLean (9 April 1949 – 28 July 1998), also known as "The Guv'nor," was an English boxer, bouncer, criminal and prisoner, author, businessman, bodyguard, enforcer, weightlifter, television presenter and actor, and has been referred to as "the hardest man in Britain".

McLean's pugilist reputation began in the East End of London in the late 1960s and was sustained through to the mid-1980s. He has stated that he had been involved in up to 4,000 fight contests.

McLean claimed in his autobiography to have been well known in the criminal underworld. As a respected and feared figure, he often associated with such people as the Kray twins, Ronnie Biggs and Charles Bronson. He was also known in the London nightclub scene as a bouncer, where he often managed security.

In his later life, McLean became an actor, performing his most acclaimed role of 'Barry The Baptist' in Guy Ritchie's 1998 British gangster comedy film: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Another interesting guy you might want to look at is Joe Savage....More of the Bullshido type, Joe Savage might be called a "poor man's Guvnor"....Savage came over to compete in a heavyweight boxing tournament and claimed to be undefeated in bareknuckle fights. Savage actually pulled out of the tournament after alledgedly seeing a sparring match between 2 of the other entrants in the event (both former world heavyweight boxing champions).....Savage WOULD eventually fight Bert Cooper (who challenged Evander Holyfield for the heavyweight title)..... Video of that fight can be found on Youtube....Cooper was a fringe contender/journeyman boxer but he was WAAAAY more than Joe Savage was prepared for.

The Guvnor is really an interesting guy.... Not quite Bullshido caliber as he was indeed a legit and proven badass..... However, he is one of those unusal characters that you have a knack for making great edits of....

I suggest you take a look at Paul Vizzio.... He was a legit kickboxing champ in the 70s and 80s, but what makes him interesting are his claims of being involved in underground fights in Hong Kong (think Bloodsport)....In fact there is documented proof of a famous Kung Fu master coming to the US and challenging any and all American fighters....The man's name was Lee Man Chin and he was famous for throwing chopsticks into walls like throwing knives....They actually did fight and Vizzio won by knockout in 6 seconds...I've never actually seen the fight, but I have seen all the Chinese newspaper coverage of the event....There are plenty of Vizzio's fights on Youtube but they are kickboxing fights and unfortunately NOT the bareknuckle Kung Fu stuff.
