Description
Chosen and Rulers are great and all, but the final of final enemies you face should get a bit of love too.

Adds:

Hardened - Both the Commander and normal Avatars get a -40% chance to being critted. This is not just so the Ranger at close range with rapid fire and all the crit buffs isn't a near guaranteed kill anymore, but also because...

Avatar Reflect - Both types of Avatars now have a throwback from the old days: the ability to reflect shots fired at them. This specifically can occur to shots that are not reaction fire, not from squadsight, aren't melee attacks, and weren't criticals.

The specific formula for this is the Avatar's Psi Offence minus (the shooter's will score + a base value)

Psi Offence is normally 200 (100 on Rookie), base value is by default, 130.

The chance for the attack being reflected is then clamped to a minimum of 20, and a maximum of 50. In addition, Mind Shields will always reduce the chance to 5%.

The actual reflect shot has a 20% chance to miss instead of always being hit.

Does anyone know if the game is using the soldiers current will (meaning the will that has been reduced by mission fatigue), or just the soldiers max will?

does the avatar reflect ability work on grenades, rockets, and other explosives, or just on gunfire?

I just had EIGHT 50HP 4 armor avatars that reflect damage show up as a sitrep on a guerilla op, I have no sitrep mods installed or enabled AFAIK. Does this mod affect sitreps or mission variety in a way that is not listed in the description?

love this mod, i fought and killed an avatar and was like "is that it" thats their baddesses" the Ethereals from Openxcom where more of a challenge since they can mind control without even seeing my guys.

I love this mod. When super soldiers from the supersoldier mod kill themselves attacking Avatars, and their squad-mates get mind-controlled a turn later - you know you found something good. I think you should put masochist warning next to the title. And whatever mods I am using, I ended up killing 10 Avatars before the final mission. Lol. Great fun!
