Era - 1970s / 1980s / 1990s - CMLL / AAA / UWA

One of the pillars of Lucha Libre, Canek had startling success against foreign wrestlers, defeating the likes of Lou Thesz, Riki Choshu, Stan Hansen and Andre the Giant, slamming the Giant before Hogan did. Canek's power gave him a massive advantage over many opponents, able to absorb opposing moves without effect, hold wrestlers in a military press while walking around the ring, or hoisting opponents into a torture rack with effortless ease.

I'm about to use him for ADR's new Nacion Lucha Libre promotion...he just had a match at their first show....67yrs old.
