irl it was an STG-44 with a curved barrel and a mirror
it was meant to be for people to shoot around corners, silly Germans

Its a german invention to shoot from the inside of armored vehicles to the outside.
But irl it makes a bit more sense (its still a mcguffin tho)

yeah the mirror has a bug, but its a pretty cool concept. Useful for chokepoints, since you can sit around the corner and mow people down
