Ballista Laser Star

Starwolf's premiere laser craft, the Ballista's reputation travels at the speed of light.

Equipped with 1.5 Gigawatts of power generation and 6 250 Megawatt ultraviolet lasers, the Ballista is able to put a staggering amount of laser energy into targets even at extreme range.

While the Ballista is adept at destroying exposed enemy systems on capital ships, killing them by removing all radiators and weapons, it truly shines in a point-defense role. Wielding six separate high-powered beams over 13 turrets, the Ballista quickly wipes out entire waves of enemy missiles, and kills drone fleets before they fire a shot. While the Ballista is not an ideal ship-of-the-line, given its lack of stopping power against capital ships, it is a fantastic support craft, defending an entire fleet from enemy missiles and drones, and surgically destroying high-value enemy weapon hardpoints to ensure the rest of the fleet operates optimally and safely.

Additionally, in the rare occasion that the Ballista is unable to destroy all incoming missiles before they arrive, it has a secondary power system which will support the crew module while folding away the main radiators and launching flares, thus avoiding any remaining missiles.

The Ballista Laser Star masses in at 6.04 kt, 114 meters long, and costs 35 Megacreds, with 7.16 km/s of delta V.
