Legendary Heroes - Leader Levels (v1.9.1)

Description
Current Mod Version: 0.2.1

This mod raises the maximum level cap to 20. The base level cap remains at 5, like in vanilla. If you want to unlock the full potential of your leaders, you'll need to do so by in-game methods.

This can be done with Civics (such as Meritocracy) or Species Traits (such as Talented) present in vanilla Stellaris, or added by other mods.

In addition, this mod adds several alternative means to do so:

  • Two non-repeatable techs (Leadership Education and Advanced Education) increase the level cap by +1 each.
  • One repeatable tech (Improved Pedagogic Techniques, which probably needs a better name) increases the level cap by +1 per iteration, for a total of +5.
  • One Ascension Perk (Legendary Heroes) increases the level cap by +5, in addition to a whole bunch of other leader-related improvements.
  • One additional Rare Tech for each leader type, which improves the level cap for that particular sort of leader by +1, in addition to a miscellaneous bonus depending on the type of leader. (Note: The tech "Legendary Scientists" still doesn't seem to be working properly)


Also included:

  • An upgradable, empire-unique building that improves your leaders' experience gain by 10/20%.
  • A repeatable tech (Intensive Educational Software) that improves your leaders' experience gain by 5% per level.

To Do

  • Test for balance
  • Get some graphical assets that aren't recycled from existing techs/buildings/ascension perks
  • Write better descriptions
  • Rework the Grand Academy to give different bonuses depending on your empire's ethics. (And maybe have a different name for Machine Empires)

Compatibility
This mod changes the following vanilla files:
interface/technology_view.gfx
interface/texticons.gfx

In addition, this mod includes a "defines" file, which means that it's unlikely to play nice with other mods that alter the level cap.

In particular, if run alongside Leader Overhaul - Levels, there will be conflicts between the defines files. If you want your Level Cap to be set to 15 right from the start of the game, I recommend using that mod instead of this one.

Localization
Currently, this mod is in alpha, and everything is in English. I'll start worrying about translating my descriptions once I'm finished writing them.

Is it save compatible? After I enabled it and loaded the save, leader's icon who has 5 rank changed to 5 stars, but max skill level is still: Skill level: 5/5 . I use it with Leader Overhaul , but without Levels addon as the author doesn't support it anymore. I checked every define file and no other mod changes these defines.
